WE SUPPORT THE PRESERVATION OF THE INDIGENOUS RAINFOREST
ADOPT A COFFEE TREE

Adopting a coffee tree on the Finca Jerusalén farm in Honduras is a joint project between Ebel Coffee and farmer José Cuellár Fajardo. For one year, you will become the adoptive parent of a coffee plant. To mark this occasion, you will receive an Adoption Certificate with your chosen name for the tree. Throughout the year, we send updates about the coffee tree and farm, greetings from the farm, and interesting coffee-related insights via email.

A UNIQUE PLACE WHERE UNIQUE COFFEE IS BORN

Finca Jerusalén is an exceptional place in the mountains of Honduras.

At an altitude of 1300–1600 meters above sea level, farmer José Cuellár Fajardo plants the rare and prized Gesha Arabica coffee trees, which grow freely among the diverse trees of the wild mountain forest.

No chemical treatments are used in their cultivation.

BY ADOPTING A COFFEE TREE, YOU HELP PREVENTing DEFORESTATION

In many places, forests are cleared to establish coffee plantations. But we, knowing that coffee grown in the forest possesses divine qualities from the pure, living nature and fantastic flavor, support this farm.

José’s farm is located in the northern part of Honduras, near the town of Trinidad. He provides free housing for his workers and ensures their education in environmentally friendly farm cultivation. In return, we pay a truly fair price for the coffee and the work of the people on the farm.

WE HARVEST BY HAND

The coffee cherries are handpicked here, with great care and love. This gives our coffee its unique characteristics, making it unmistakable and exceptional.

José has been our long-term supplier and personal friend, which is why we decided to support his pure and valuable efforts through the adoption of coffee trees.
